Our client is looking for a hard working and enthusiastic Senior Practitioner to take their 3 star county council to the next level. Applicants would be working along side other members of staff which would include occupational therapists, support works as well as staff from outside agencies include the local health and police establishments. 

Applicants will be responsible for providing support and supervision to new and existing members of staff, you will be responsible for small manageable caseloads of children at risk. You will be required to have a good understanding for the current legislation. You will be undertake initial and core assessments, planning implementing and terminating interventions and co-ordinating the provision of services. You will also contribute to the formulation of child protection plans and court evidence in child protection cases if needed.

Previous experience of working with this client group will have equipped you with a good knowledge of child protection legislation, the range of support services available and the ability to relate effectively with children, parents and carers, especially in stressful situations.

You are committed to caring for vulnerable children and families. You are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will remain professional at all times.

To become a successful candidate in this position you must have the following:

• A social wok qualification
• At least 2 years post graduate work experience
• The ability to apply for a CRB disclosure
• Registration with the General Social Care Council

This is a 28 week contract. The pay rate for this position has been set at £23.00 per hour not including the various expenses.
